POLITICS: PUTIN TO CALL TRUMP ON SATURDAY








As expected, the telephone call might be a crucial first step towards what the Kremlin and the White residence hope could be a thaw in relations that have been fraught underneath the previous U.S. management.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump are expected to talk through smartphone this Saturday, the Kremlin said, their first communication due to the fact that Trump took office, Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed.

Their conversation may also be concern to shut scrutiny from Trump's critics after U.S. intelligence corporations alleged that Russian protection services attempted to steer the U.S. presidential election in Trump's favour.

Throughout the U.S. election campaign, Putin and Trump praised each other's non-public traits and stated they were hopeful they may reset relations relating to Ukraine and the overzealous war in Syria.
