CRIME: MAN ARRESTED FOR KILLING NEIGHBOUR OVER DOG TRESPASS IN HOUSTON


Hector Campos is out of jail on a $50,000 bond after being charged with murder inside the loss of life of Ana Weed. Investigation reveals Campos and Weed were next-door pals who got into an argument in their front yards after Weed’s dog ran onto Campos’ assets. He is accused of fatally shooting his neighbor after her canine ran into his yard, can also have had a long run grudge against her, reports CBS affiliate KHOU.

It was reported that Weed went to get her dog at the same time as Campos allegedly ran in to seize a gun and shot Weed within the chest.

Campos is reportedly claiming self-protection. in line with his attorney, Campos claims he become assaulted through Weed in what he describes as a “two-passed shove.” Campos also reportedly claims he felt threatened by way of a roll of tape she changed into protecting in her hand.

Campos alleges that the attack got here after months of verbal harassment from Weed’s kids. however Weed’s own family disputes the ones allegations, calling Campos a “dangerous guy.” One neighbor told the station that the 2 were in arguments before, and that the police were known as at least once.

On Thursday, Harris County Prosecutor Joshua Phanco defined Campos’ bond by means of saying, “The bond schedule that’s set in Harris County calls for $50,000 on a murder charge for someone who doesn’t have a criminal records, that is what he has. So am I surprised he got a bond?  No, due to the fact that’s standard in all cases where there's no criminal history.”

A judge determined Thursday that Campos ought to give up his passport, live in Harris County, wear a GPS ankle reveal and he can not communicate to the victim’s circle of relatives or all of us who witnessed the crime, reviews the station.

Campos is due back in court in  months.
